    Subscription Plans

    Understand the available Academly plans, billing periods and Student Point entitlements.

    Academly offers different plans based on how extensively you want to use the platform. Paid subscriptions are available with monthly or annual billing.

    What this section is about

    Your plan determines your monthly Student Point entitlement and some platform limits. This section explains the main differences between Free, Pro, Author and the limited Lifetime option.

    Available plans

    • Free: Includes 140 Student Points once so you can try core Academly tools.
    • Pro: Includes up to 2,000 Student Points per monthly entitlement and is available with monthly or annual billing.
    • Author: Includes up to 4,000 Student Points per monthly entitlement and is available with monthly or annual billing.
    • Lifetime: A limited option for eligible early users. It provides an Author-level Student Point entitlement of up to 4,000 SP per month without a recurring subscription payment.

    Monthly and annual subscriptions

    Pro and Author can be purchased with monthly or annual billing. The billing interval determines how often you are charged, while Student Points continue to follow their monthly entitlement cycle.

    How Student Point refills work

    Student Points refill up to the limit of your plan. The full monthly amount is not added on top of an existing balance.

    Example

    If a Pro user has 1,860 SP remaining when the next refill is due, 140 SP are added to bring the balance back to the 2,000 SP plan limit.

    Upgrading your plan

    Open your account

    Go to the subscription or billing section of your Academly account.

    Choose a plan

    Select the available Pro or Author subscription that fits your requirements.

    Choose your billing period

    Select monthly or annual billing when the option is available.

    Complete checkout

    Complete the payment process through Stripe.

    Return to Academly

    Your account is updated after the successful subscription change.

    Managing an existing subscription

    • Review your current subscription
    • Manage supported plan changes
    • Update your payment method
    • Review billing information
    • Cancel a recurring subscription

    Downgrades and cancellations

    Some subscription changes take effect at the end of the current billing period. A cancellation changes the account to Free when the paid subscription ends. Student Points already remaining on the account are not deducted simply because the subscription is cancelled.

    Lifetime availability

    Lifetime is not a standard recurring subscription and may only be available to a limited group of eligible early users. Lifetime purchases are not managed through the recurring subscription portal.
